Programs for Youth and Adults
Haley’s Martial Arts Center trains students of all ages and experience levels
Little Ninjas
Little Ninjas classes for 3–4 year olds focus on following directions, working together, basic blocks and kicks, and having fun.
Youth Karate
Kids aged 5–12 are grouped in classes by belt rank (experience) so students learn curriculum alongside their peers. Classes focus on learning kata (forms) as well as techniques like kicking, punching, blocking, and sparring in a fun, supportive, and developmentally appropriate environment.
Teen Karate
Teen classes for students aged 13–16 (all ranks) focus on kata and techniques at a level appropriate for their body development and maturity. (Youth are also welcome to continue in the kids classes or may be invited to the Adult classes, depending on their size and maturity levels.)
Adult Karate
Adults of all ages (17+) and abilities are welcome. Karate is remarkably adaptive to all bodies, so don’t let an old knee injury or lack of flexibility keep you off the mat! You’ll focus on kata, techniques, and physical fitness. Instructors can help adapt the curriculum to meet you where you are and grow your strength and skill in all areas.
Kobudo
Practice traditional Okinawan Kobudo with weapons like bo (staff), sai, nunchaku, kama, tonfa, and more! Students must be at least an Orange belt in karate (about 9 months of experience) before they can begin Kobudo.
Aikido
Train with expert Aikido instructors in a Japanese martial art emphasizing self-defense through techniques that redirect an attacker’s energy and movement. These classes are open to adults only.
